How to create an exercise with multiple possible correct answer
Nov 29, 2013
Hello,
I'm creating an exercice on how to use a software.
The software we use have too possibilities to save : a save button at the bottom and a save button on the top.
I've record the demonstration and select step by step slides and select test mode steps wich has generated my slides.
What I'd like to do is to have 2 correct hotspots to save :
- if I click on the save button on the it's Ok
- if I click on the save button on the bottom it's ok
- but if I click elsewhere I have the first attempt wrong and the second time I consider as a wrong answer
Can you help me ?
Here is a screenshot of what I have tried but does not correspond to my demand because I can have two attempt and even if I have the corrects points on the slide result, articulate consider the answer wrong when I review the score at the end of the exercice
Thank you for your help
Virginie

Hi Virginie,
When using a hotspot question you'll want to keep the following in mind:
Hi Ashley
Thank you for the answer.
There's few more thing I'd like to understand :
- What is the aim of having more than one hotspot because if I click on the red hotspot, it's a wrong answer and if I click outside (nether on the green, nor on the red hotspot), it's the same (wrong answer)
- What is the aim of having hotspots when the hotspot question is unscored since wherever I click, it's the same
- And to finish, if I well understand, what I want to do (2 corrects answers) is not possible ? Even with an other freeform question (I've tried with "Pick many" without more success) ?
Thanks again for the response
Virginie
You can use transparent rectangles instead of hotspots and then use the free form pick many option...
Hi Virginie,
The aim of having "incorrect" hotspots is to allow the user to see the "hand" click icon, so that it's not immediately clear where the answer is. You could also set up the scoring by answer choice within a hotspot, giving you a bit more flexibility in terms of how your users interact with the hotspot:
Again, for an unscored hotspot question, having the hotspot areas provides the hand click icon, so that the user can see which elements they can click on.
Greg's idea on using transparent rectangles while using the free form pick many is a great idea, to simulate the hotspot set up.
