I am creating a database training and want the user to add a specific date into the Interactive Data Entry box. The trigger moves to the next layer. I see that I can create data or numbers but not a combination. I want the user to type a date like 03/03/2003. Any ideas?
I'm not sure, since you said you're creating a database, whether you need to calculate the dates at any point. If not, can the information all be entered as "alpha"...that is, in the Data Entry Text Entry box? I mean, I know it CAN be entered, but would that work for you?

Hi Lucy,

Could you not just add a Data Entry - text entry box like Rebecca suggests and then add a slide trigger as follows:
Action: Show layer
Layer: {select the layer }
When: Control loses focus
Object: Text Entry {this is the name of the text entry field you are using}
On Condition:
List: Variable
If: TextEntry
Operator: == Equal to
Type: Value
03/03/2003
