How to create multiple attempt quiz from a quiz bank

Oct 17, 2018

I hope my heading makes sense but my situation is as follows:

I have created  a quiz with four sections:

  • A - multiple choice
  • B - True/False
  • C - Short answer multiple choice  (Same as A  but with one or two word answers)
  • D -Matching

I have succeeded in doing this and the quiz is ready for testing in the LMS.  However the problem is that if I want to give 3 chances to users to pass the quiz, they will be repeating the same questions. I want to create 3 sets of questions for each section so the user gets different questions for each attempt.

I worked for an organisation that did this but my role was to write three sets of questions on a word document and someone else put them on the software (Don't even know what it was!)

Hello Naison!

Let's be sure you've got these two things covered:

  1. Older versions of Storyline had an issue with repeating quiz questions, but we've since fixed that issue. To check that you are on the latest update of Storyline 360, click the Help tab, then click About Storyline. You should see 3.20.16814.0 in the bottom-right corner.
  2. Be sure that your "Retry Quiz" button has this trigger attached to it: Reset results [Results slide] when the user clicks the Retry Quiz button.

If you're already on the latest version and your retry quiz button has the correct trigger, we'll want to take a closer look at your file. You can send it to us by starting a case here.
