how to eliminate pauses between slides in project after publishing

I am just starting to use story line and my first project uses a combination of screen shots and recorded screens.  All have audio linked to them.  When I preview my project while I'm in Storyline, it runs smoothly from one slide to the next.  After I published it and viewed it, there were long pauses between the slides.  When I created each slide I added the trigger "jump to next slide when the timeline ends" and the default player triggers (jump to next slide when user clicks next button and jump to previous slide when user clicks previous button) are also in my trigger panel for each slide.

any help would be appreciated to resolve this issue.
