How To Ensure Learners View All Slides

Hi
I am very new to course creation, so I hope I can explain my issue clearly.
I have created a course that has a number of links that take the learner to various sections in the module.
For example if a learner starts on slide 1 part of the content may say “for further information click here”, it will take them to slide 19. I added a button on slide 19 that takes them back to slide 1 so they can continue course.
The problem I have is that the learner could also click on “next” on slide 19 and miss the information on slides from 2-18.
If they follow the slides in order ie/ 1 – 40 this won’t be an issue, buy by allowing them to jump around, they may miss a section.
How can I ensure that the user will review all slides?
Thanks!

There is no build-in function for that. You may do this with using variables.
But that ist a lot of work. :-(
Sometimes it is easier to rethink the structure or navigation of your course.
E.g.: If you want the user to look for page 19 via a link, don't use a normal "jump to slide" but a "lightbox slide" with disabled prev/next Buttons (you will disable/enable these buttons inside the Trigger -> "Navigation Controls" not with the side-settings!). Uncheck the "Navigation Controls" within the lightbox Trigger. By the way: it is unchecked by Default.
If you use lightbox, the learner can view the lightboxed slide and return to the prev. page (page 1 on your example). He will view slide 1-18 goto 19 and then to 20... the learner will not miss anything.
Great advice by Jan here... I would also recommend displaying slide 19 as a lightbox in this scenario, makes it much easier to ensure your learner stays on track in a linear course.
Thank you so much for your advice!
I made the changes and it works exactly how I want it to. There are so many options with Storyline that sometimes you forget the various options you have.
You both ROCK!
You are welcome :-)
