I would like to track certain things within a module to learn user behaviors.
For example, I just added a closed-caption option variable to my videos. I would like to know what percentage of users click the button and use this optional feature.
I am publishing as SCORM 2004 v2. Is there a way through triggers or something I can capture things like this? Perhaps record it as a quiz question?
I'm sure others will have some helpful suggestions for this, but I wanted to chime in just in case the option I'm about to share is something that will work for you.
What I would suggest is a variable that adjusts when a learner clicks on your closed-caption option. You could then report that variable to your LMS to see what learners accessed that feature in your course.
Here's some information on how to send that variable information to your LMS:
This discussion is quite a bit older, but if you're looking to use a variable in connection with the Closed captioning feature and the steps here on how to turn it on/off with a trigger may help you out with using a similar variable setup.

Best of luck on the project, Ben!
This looks like this option might work. I'm going to test it today. Thanks Christine!
Is this still possible with the embedded closed captioning feature?
