How To Get A Slide's Video and Animations to Reset Upon Return

Apr 14, 2014

I have a slide containing a screencast video and text boxes with fly-in animations. When I leave the slide and then return to it, the video does not replay (it goes straight to the ending shot) and the text box animations don't happen. Is there a way to have the video replay automatically and have the text fly in again when I return to the slide?

Thanks!

HiKelley and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

Itsounds like this may be due to your slide revisiting settings. It may help tochange this option to "Reset to initial state". If you usethis option, the slide will load from the very beginning each time itsviewed.

Now,there are a couple of ways to access this option:

Youcan select the slide or slides you want to change in Story View (where allslides and scenes are visible). Select a single slide, or select multipleslides by holding down the CTRL button and clicking on all of the slides you'dlike to change. You can also use CTRL+A to select all of your slides.

Anotheroption is to open a single slide in SlideView

Using either method above, you can modify the Revisiting optionin the lower right-hand side of the window.

Please let us know if you have any trouble with this, or any questions.

Thanks!

Hi JC!

Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you are looking for a similar feature like StoryView, where slide properties can easily be adjusted.

The slide layers are individual to the slides and come with many individual settings and there is not a shortcut.

If this is something that you have a need or use-case for, I encourage you to share your idea with our team here.
