How to get different feedback slide for different set of response

Feb 19, 2015

Hi, I am working on a scenario with a series of T/F questions and related feedback. I am having trouble with the feedback slide. e.g. If learners answer the 1st T/F question correctly but the second incorrectly, I want to show a slide, say A, with particular feedback. However, if learners answer both the 1st and 2nd T/F question incorrectly , I want to show a slide B, with a different feedback. If learners answer 1st question right but 2nd wrong, they see slide C.

I am not sure how to do this...will I have to add condition in the "Trigger Wizard"? If yes, are there any videos for the same?

I am working with the trial version of Storyline 2. For questions I have used the T/F graded template in the Quizzing tab.

Hi Tanaya!

Yes, this can be done by creating some variables and setting triggers accordingly. For example you have a variable "a" for first question and variable "b" for second question. Both of the variable has a default value of False. Set a trigger on the first question slide to make variable "a" true when user clicks submit or next button, which ever it is in your case that let's user jump to the next question, if the correct option is selected. Similarly do this for the second question i.e. make variable "b" true if correct option is selected. Now on the feedback slide make two layers, one with the feedback when only one answer option is correct and other layer for the feedback when both option are correct. Set a trigger on the base slide to show layer feedback 1 if variable "a" is true and variable "b" is false. Set another trigger to show layer feedback 2 when variable "a" is true and variable "b" is also true.

I hope it helps.

Regards.
