How to get the percentage figures show the course or viewing time

Oct 20, 2015

Hello, How can I calculate the percentage of passing the roller on the number of slides scanned and viewed layers.
In the first case, the video consists of a series of consecutive slides with a gradual transition from the former to the latter. The result is only viewing.
In the second case, the user clicks on button and searches for every click a video.
We need a result as the percentage of passing the entire movie.
Also failed to find information where to find the index of the time spent in the video.
These data must be transferred to CMS (PHP), is another question)

It is not clear where to find the necessary parameters, the movie is created in the program StoryLine 2. It is published in HTML 5.

Thanks for the answer, Ashley.

We do not have a special education management system. Сourse by Storyline is created and uploaded to the server in HTML5. Our content management system does not support the LMS. In this case, we can get what we need? The package for the publication of the course no service files we need where we could take the time in the course?

We have a menu consisting of slides, which I see that the slides are viewed are marked in a different color. How do I get the data from the menu, for example?

Hi Svetlana,

The menu elements and player items such as that are not accessible as a built in functionality in Storyline. It may be something that folks in the community could assist you with in terms of modifying or pulling information from the published output.

Ed's suggest is another good idea of how you could track elements within Storyline. And with that set up you'll want to consider if users are revisiting slides and then adjust triggers accordingly if needed to subtract from the variable.

Hi Svetlana,

I'm not sure I'm clear on the behavior you're seeing here -

If you're looking to track overall time, I know other users have looked at doing so with Javascript as well. Perhaps that is a method you would like to investigate further? There are a couple of items linked in this older thread that may help to get you started.
