How to handle text entry verification

I am a newbee to Storyline 2 and have had some difficulty with a series of try slides where the interactivity is expecting a student to enter an exact value in a web page text box. The screen recording does not seem to catch the entry and places a small text box in the upper left corner of the screen. Once I found that I placed the text box in the correct place on the form, but can't seem to get the text to enter or verify. How do you handle verification of an exact entry of data?

You'll need to use javascript to verify the data specifically. The SL Knowledgebase is a good starting place on getting the value of the field, but then you'll need to use javascript to set a second variable to indicate success. Things might be a bit harder if you've never programmed in javascript, and javascript is disabled by some web browsers when running SL content in some ways.
Hi Gil,
I think you'll want to share your .story file with us here so that we can see what's happening. If you had entered text as a part of your screen recording that should have been captured and you should be able to enter the same text to be able to advance from that slide.
Gil, I also wanted to mention this article about text boxes being incorrectly placed in your screen recording. But besides that, I would also expect that entering the text value as you did in the recording should be considered correct.
