Please let us know if there is any way to import questions by excel sheet in storyline 360 so that the imported question appear with custom template/layout instead of default layout.
Yes, you can import the questions into Storyline 360 using an Excel spreadsheet! We've even built a custom template to help out! Here's more information.
Yes, I concur with the previous comment -- the question is more about having them import into appropriate layouts. As is, you'd have to build question layouts and then apply those after import. Might be easier to have a way to do this. Or maybe I'm missing something? Thx
If you create a Question layout on your Slide Master, then the question imported from the Excel spreadsheet should automatically have that layout applied.
Maria -- thanks. This is close, but one layout won't always work for all of the question types in the Excel template. Also, I've noticed that when I try this approach, even if the model slide is using theme fonts, the text on the incoming slides does not. May just be a bug. I'm still on 3.54.25674.0.
I used a template Darren created with multiple questions and imported it into my project, but all of the question text and answers used the appropriate font as expected.
Leslie -- Hi. Thanks for posting this. I may be explaining this poorly. I think I'm trying to get Storyline to do some of my development work. If I have 10 different question types, I might have 10 layouts. Rather than apply those layouts after the import, I was hoping I could map the question type column to my project and have this piece automated. You're correct -- the theme/style information is coming across, but it's applied across the board.

Would it not make sense to provide at least one example of each question type in the Template?

Hi, Martin.
Thank you for reaching out!

Here's an example of the Question Layout:

Hi Martin,
We'd be happy to take a look if needed.

Ah, thanks for the clarification, Martin.
Yes, you will need to manually apply your additional custom question layouts after you import the questions.
Leslie -- thanks. Certainly not a big lift to do this after the import. Appreciate the info.
