I realized that this is only the case when the video should be shown in the slide. When I select "new browser window", I don't have this problem. Any idea why I have this problem when showing the video in the slide?
That means your browser is most likely running the HTML5 version of your course. This happened to us to and we finally found out that Chrome was waiting our "authorization" to run flash. You have to change your Flash settings in order that it automatically runs the flash version.

Sorry to hear that you ran into an issue with that. Thanks for sharing the image of what you are seeing. I have not seen that before.
How are you publishing and viewing the content? The swf file would only work in the Flash output as you can see in this comparison chart.
Do you have a .story file that you'd like us to take a look at?
