I have a particular case in the e-learning course i'm making, where I have an object that needs to be increased in size as it moves along its motion path.
Has anyone achieved that or done something similar?
Short answer: Storyline does not support adjusting image size with a trigger.
Long answer: you could have many states of the image with different sizes and then triggers to change those when slider reacher X seconds (or cue points).

Put it in PowerPoint, build appropriate triggers (Ppt will allow you to do what you want), Export as video
