Hi, I am designing content for use on a 7" touchscreen tablet. Can anyone suggest a good way of indicating to the learner that an object, eg. an image, is selectable? If our user platform had a cursor I would apply a 'hover' state to the object, but that will not be possible on our touch screens. Got any cunning plans?

Hi Angela!
My first thought would be to use markers on clickable objects. I'm interested to hear what other ideas folks in the community can offer!
Add a drop shadow to the object or perhaps some form of entrance animation such as a gloss/glass effect to bring attention to the object.
Thanks so much, Phil. That's really helpful.
I like it. Good plan, Alyssa. Thanks so much.
Great! Always happy to help :)
