How to insert different result slides for different grades obtained in a Quiz

Apr 16, 2015

Hello everyone,

I created my Quiz in articulate storyline 2, but am struggling with the result section. I want to insert different result options depending on how many questions the user got right. Example: 1-3 non proficient user; 4-6 - good user; 6-9 - proficient user.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thank you!!!

Hi Claudia,

You can do this using layers and conditions on a single results slide. I would create 3 layers: non-proficient, good user, and proficient. You can style them however you desire. Then add triggers that say "Show layer 'non-proficient' when the timeline starts on the results slide, IF the percent score varialbe is 33% or less." "Show layer 'good user' when the timeline starts IF the percent score variable is 33%-66%." And finally, "Show layer 'proficient user' when the timeline starts IF the percent score variable is 67% or greater." Of course you can adjust the numbers as desired.

Doing it this way means you wouldn't be using the default layers, Failure and Success that Storyline builds for you. And you could eliminate the triggers on the base layer that were automatically added by Storyline referencing those layers (your new triggers with conditions will be taking on that function).
