How to jump to a slide at *beginning* of timeline?

Mar 12, 2018

I'm new to Storyline and must be missing something obvious, but when I jump to a slide that has objects with entrance animations or that aren't supposed to appear until later in the timeline, they are already there when arriving at the slide. Is there a way to jump to a slide and have it run the timeline from the beginning? Thanks!

Hi Steve!  Welcome to Storyline.  😃

On that slide's timeline, do you have those objects appearing a little later?  You can grab them and slide them down the timeline until the point at which they need to appear.

If you want to send a screenshot of your timeline or attach the slide here, I'm happy to have a look and see what I can offer!

Thanks, Crystal! Here is the screenshot. As you can see, it's a simple slide with just a few elements that appear after short delays. When I jump back to this slide later in the course, the slide appears with all of the elements already visible (as they are at the end of the timeline). What I would like is to be able to jump back to the slide with only the background image, so that the viewer can see the elements appear after a delay (as if we were coming in at the beginning of the timeline). Is this possible? If so, how do I do it?
