How can I make a "fill in the blank" quiz slide that it can let the students can input their answer without a click in the text entry . I mean when the quiz appear ,it will show the insertion point in the text entry instead of the "type your answer here"  hint

Thanks a lot ! first

The second , I want to let the students can input their answer instantly without a click in the text entry  by using ios siri when the quiz appear, and if there is no any input activity for 3 seconds the quiz will auto submit the answer and give the feedback to students.

I got my requirment in your story, but when I insert a graded fill in the blank quiz, and preview it I can't see the insertion point in the text entry,Where is my mistake?

Pls check the third slide that I uploaded.

By the way, Pls fogive my poor English! I'm guy from china.

Thanks again!!!!

Wish your family all have good health forever!

Hey Coolwy!

U r welcome! first

The second.....My English was same as urs...n i m confident u'll improve it by time....so no worries about it.

What I noticed in ur slide is that u have (intentionally ,unintentionally or by default) checked the box "Object is visible to accessibility tools." Now, what this option is and what it does and how to access it, you can find all the details here.

I hope this works for IOS too.

I have attached the file after making the very option unchecked, and ur slide is working perfectly.

All the best for ur project n thnx for the prayers!

Hi Coolyw and welcome to Heroes!

I'm glad that Hassan was able to assist you here - and I also wanted to let you know that for the "text entry" field to be what grabs the focus first on the screen (meaning the cursor is there automatically - no clicking in the box) it should be the last item in the timeline as in the image below:

If you need anything else, please feel free to let us know!

Hi Coolyw,

I'm not sure I understand your question - looking at the sample file previously attached here, each text entry is what has the focus when starting the slide, including the first slide. I can immediately start typing into the text entry without clicking into it. I was just pointing out that for the text entry to always grab focus first - it should be the last item in the timeline.
