How to make sure that users have seen both sections in one slide?

Mar 21, 2014

Hi there,

I am developing a course on Time Management but, I am stuck in one of the situation where I want to divide this course in two sections. For example: In this course there is a slide called "Effective Planning" which has two doors indicating  two different options "Long Term planning" and "Short term planning".  Now, these both sections are important and I want my audience to look both of them.

Please let me know if you have any ideas how can I make them in a way where both will be seen by the user. Meanwhile, I have an idea and I want your help to construct this in my course.

Let say user is on "Effective Planning slide" and can see both the options and he drag the object on "Long term planning". It will let him go to the respective (Long term planning) slide but once he/she will click on next button the same slide of "Effective Planning" will come again notify that the "Long term planning" slide is viewed (in black and white) go to short term planning. Please have a look on my story file.

I hope, my idea is clear to you if not, please let me know so, I can try to be more clear and detail.

Hi Mohammad,

Based on the set up you have currently, I don't see that you've set up the behavior to show that the slide has been visited as they're brought right to slide 1.17 (which they could also access using the "next button" on the Effective planning slide). Also, there are some layers set up which don't seem to be triggered using your current set up.

What I would recommend is to have the state of the door image change based on the character being dropped on the door and that once the state of each is "disabled" that the user is brought to slide 1.17 - so that way they'll have to visit each section. I set this up on your example (I ignored your layers, and changed the triggers on the long term and short term planning slides so that it went right to slide 1.17 - you could also change the "next trigger" on the Effective planning slide to not go to slide 1.17 until both states are disabled too).
