How to modify the 'Time Limit Exceeded' message when adding a timer to a lesson

May 26, 2015

Hi

I am adding a timer to my entire lesson -- solely to prevent timeouts when lessons are left open too long.

I added this per the instructions on the link:

https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/adding-a-timer-to-storyline-courses

In the video, it is mentioned that the message can be customized, but how and where?

I would like to change the message that currently states:

Time Limit Exceeded

You have reached the time limit set for the quiz.  Press 'OK' to continue.

to something else - as the time limit set is not quiz-driven.  Where can I make this modification?  Does anyone know?

How can I change the trigger for that button? Right now, I want the person to be directed to the Results slide because they didn't pass. Instead, they are directed right to the course certificate, which would be confusing for them (they should only get a certificate if they have finished & passed the quiz).

Are you able to help? I've tried going into the feedback master, but it didn't work.

Thanks in advance!
