I downloaded the Storyline 2 trial to play with the features and ended up doing quite a bit of work building a course. I tried to open this file in Storyline 1, but it wont open. If I am in Storyline 2, can I save my work as a Storyline 1 file so I don't lose all my work?
As Michael stated, files updated or created in Storyline 2 cannot be re opened in Storyline 1 as it is not backwards compatible. There would have been a backup file of the original Storyline 1 file created when you upgraded. You can open this in SL1, but it will not have any of the updates made in SL2.

You can't 'back save' a Storyline 2 project, so that it opens in SL1.
