I have a checklist at the end of a course in Storyline that I want learners to be able to print out. However, when you print the page (from the published version), the information gets rather distorted/squished. Is this a function of printing from Flash? What can I do to get the page to print without distorting? Has anyone encountered this?
Unfortunately, that won't work. We need participants to be able to print directly from the published course. We're using variables throughout the course to create a personalized To Do list that users get as their takeaway. Other than printing directly from that screen at the end we can't figure another way for them to "save" their personalized list. And, unfortunately, right now the list looks too distorted when printed to be of much use. I'm open to other ideas to make our concept work.
If none of those steps resolve the problem, I would encourage you to submit a Support Case. When you do so, please be certain to include a copy of your .story file.
Please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!
Thanks, Justin. Unforunately, none of that made a difference. It still comes out of the printer squished. I'll submit a case report, but since we can't control the settings on our clients' printers, I'm not feeling optimistic about it. Any other suggestions?
Thanks for submitting a case, Laura. I see that your Case Number is 00296186 and that Vira Inzon has taken ownership. I will also keep an eye on the case as we put it through the paces. Thanks again!
One other option is creating a dynamic HTML popup that grabs your variable values from SL and constructs the page on the fly. I've done this for a few folks. In my experience this provides the most predictable and clean output.

Good Morning, Laura.
In this scenario, I usually recommend Publishing to Word and printing from there. Does this resolve the distortion for you?

Thanks for the clarification, Laura.
Let's take a quick look at three settings:
