Does StoryLine record audio (voice) over a 5 minute clip?
It only seems to for the 30 second trial screen recordings I created. If not, that’s odd because SL provides options to select the appropriate microphone. I’m tempted to make the recording in Camtasia then drag it into SL.
Hi Paul! Yes, you can record your narration for the duration that you wish. There is a tutorial related to adding sound and the recording narration is the 2nd section of that tutorial. I hope this helps! If you are encountering a specific issue or need more assistance, just let me know.
Yep, you can. Choose insert-sound, record mic. Then you can record, and edit your voice over... and whats nice is the audio will show up separately in your timeline so you can play around with timing your voice overs with any animations (or video) you have on the slide.
Thanks a lot Leslie and Sarah. Having to select insert-sound isn't so intuitive, but I'll try it out and get back to you with any further questions. All the best, Paul.
Okay, here's another question Leslie: now that I've saved the recording with audio in the Try mode (475 slides), can I also create a demo version using the clip I just recorded, incorporating the whole audio clip? I'd like my users to watch and listen to the whole clip before trying to complete the tasks in Try.

To you as well Paul!

Yes, you can use that audio in another project by doing an export and then import the file into your new project.
