Hello! Sorry if this question has been asked before but I could not find it. My team and I are trying to create a course where the user must go through everything before they move to the next slide. Is there a way for us to restrict movement to the next slide until after they have clicked or visited a hotspot? Right now we know we can restrict movement until they have visited a shape...but are at a loss on how to make this happen with the hotspots. Any help is appreciated! This is in Articulate Storyline 2.
You can also achieve this with variables. In the attached example, variable (Slide1_Complete) set to False. When the text (hotspot) is clicked, variable is set to True. Next button will show layer if variable is False and move to next page if variable is True.
Thank you so much! This is exactly what my team and I needed! The visual was extremely helpful as well. Thank you for taking the time to reply and to attach the sample!

Hi Sara
hotspots can be pesky things to use. I add a shape offstage with a normal and visited state and then use that object in my triggers.
See attached sample - hope that helps or gives you an idea.

Lance,
Thank you so much! My team and I have not worked with variables much. I appreciate your reply and your extremely helpful example!
Glad to help Sara - as with Lance's example you can see there is always more than one way to achieve something in SL - good luck with your project!
