I was wondering if there was a way to zoom only some elements on the stage. Let's say I have a "banner" with the title of the slide and I don't want this banner to zoom. Is there a way I can zoom some things without affecting this banner.
I tried adding the banner to another slide or to the slide master, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Thank you for your reply. I've already checked this tutorial but this is not what I am looking for. If anyone knows a way to not zoom everything on stage, it would be really appreciated!
To not zoom everything on the stage you'll have to create your zoom in a different process, then import that (swf, mp4, web object, etc.) onto your slide. It's possible that you could use storyline to create the zoom you're looking for, publish and then import the .swf into the slide of your real project.
There is an image magnify function if that would help
I never even noticed that this was here... mimics the Engage image zoom functionality. It's not automatic though, meaning it has to be clicked to initiate the zoom effect
So many things I didnt realise were there, I have been evangelising about the screen recording because I didnt realise how easy it was to rearrange the screens after recording
Thank you everyone for you answers, but this is not exactly what I'm looking for. Along with this message, I've attached a storyline file to demonstrate what I wish to do. I hope this is going to work. I would like the orange title bar to remain on screen, without moving, while I'm zooming on the two zoom region.
If you know a way to do it, please let me know. Thanks again!
Definitely an area that Storyline 2 could improve on. Camtasia does a very good job of pan, zoom highlight, blur sensitive areas of the screen and you are not locked into the aspect ratio. I create the zoom I want in camtasia and produce a MP4 file and imbed without the player controls into Storyline 2. That being said Storyline 2 does almost everything else better than Camtasia.

It looks like whatever your zoom region is set to will zoom in and fill the whole screen. You may have already seen this, but here is a pretty good tutorial on using zoom regions - http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/inserting-a-zoom-region.aspx

As Brian, says this is a zoom function so will enlarge to fill the screen. There is an image magnify function if that would help

Thanks again!
the simple way is to do a grow animation in ppt and export as a video and insert under your orange title bar, I know of no other way
Ah ok :( I thought using the zoom would have been a quick way to create "animations", but it's clearly not working for me. I'll stick to flash!
Thank you!

Thanks for popping in to share Ken :)
My pleasure. What an awesome piece of software. Wish it wasn't so pricey though. Yikes!
It would definitely be really awesome if Storyline could improve in than area. But oh well, you can't win them all.
