how to set up avatars for users to choose?

Hi folks!

I am new to Storyline and these forums (which have been an AMAZING resource to me so far, btw).

My current project involves having a group of avatars at the beginning of a tutorial for users to select from that will carry throughout the rest of the scenario. I found a great example called "Game Center" (http://community.articulate.com/downloads/p/228699.aspx) of a customizable dashboard design, however I haven't been able to isolate the layers or states with which the avatar selection function was created in that file.

Any ideas on how to set up a "choose your avatar" function, or directions to where to find more help, are very much appreciated.
