How to show the real Percent Score of a quiz in Storyline 2

Nov 04, 2016

Hi there!

I've created a simple quiz with four questions in Storyline 2 with this rewarding system:

- if the answer is correct, the user receives 100 points;
- if the answer is incorrect, the user loses 20 points.

The problem is the following: it seems that Storylines calculates the Percent Score to be shown in the results slide on the basis of the score itself and not the number of correct answers given by the user.
In other words, if the user gives 2 correct answers, I would expect the Percent Score to be 50%, whereas for now it's 40% (100+100-20-20=160; 160*100/400=40).

What's even worse is that leaving thing like that allows Percent Scores to be negative (e.g. -10% if the user gives no correct answers).

Is there a way to change how Storyline calculates the Percent Score? Does the LMS get the real percentage or does it just get the exact value of the variable "Results.ScorePercent"?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Ciao,
Massimo
