How do I track results on a 'game' that is a series of questions on layers of one slide in Storyline 1? The user would answer a question on a layer and the incorrect or correct layer would show etc. taking users through ten multiple choice questions. I want to track the results but am unsure how. I'm using a template I downloaded from e-learning heros but it didn't track the results. I know its possible from other templates I've downloaded and used but triggers are new to me... and confusing ;)
Absolutely! I have modified this to be my own but this is the template I started with.... I just want to add results to that last layer... the 'game results' layer. Is that possible?
Thank you! Thank you! I see what you did. Very helpful! Is there a way to do percentages instead of number correct? I do think it is a nice visual for learners. It'd be fun to put 80% correct instead of 8 right.... etc
In all honesty, you may have worked harder on this project than needed. The built in quiz slides will automatically set up your feedback layers and scoring is built in and will report on the results slide.
I have used the quiz and results slides many times but I liked this template I found on this forum for something different and thought I'd see if I could learn a few things. I appreciate your help though... the number correct will do just fine if the percentage isn't possible.

Hi Gabrielle!
It may be helpful to share your .story file so that the community has a better understanding of your design needs to better assist.

Hi Gabrielle!
Thanks for popping in to share your sample file. I took a look and I think what you are wanting is totally doable.
I added a variable for the Score that adds a point when the user reaches a 'Correct' layer and then you can see the total on your result layer.
This isn't going to report anywhere, but is a great visual for your learner if that's what you were going for.
Your updated file is attached.
