Hi, I'm new to Storyline2 and I am trying to upload my .story file to a website. The website allows .swf (flash) files. I don't see a .swf file from the files created from the project I published.
here is a link that may help you. The .story file must be published and the published folder with all the assets in it is what is loaded onto a web server. You then access via clicking the story.html file
We actually extracted the zipped file and saved it to a location on the computer. Then the story.html file opened. Why does the You tube video not open?
a lot of browsers don't allow the opening of videos locally - this is the message I get when i open it locally. What you need to do is load it onto a webserver - Articulate have a tempshare area for you to upload to so you can check your work.
Where do I find that tempshare link. I just took a quick look but didn't see it where you publish. It shows zip but not what you showed in your response to drag the zip file here...

Thanks Wendy. That's where I was reading from. I am trying a few things.

I published the project file. I emailed the zipped folder/file to my husband. How is he supposed to open it.

Daniela
Unzip, then double-click story.html.
Extract the files from the zip then double click story.html file
We did that. Does he need something on his computer to open it? Regards,
Daniela
Hi Daniela
just a web browser. Trying doing a right-click on the story.html file and selecting the web browser you use - Firefox, Chrome, IE...
You can upload the zip file here and someone can try and help you. Just click the Add Attachment button in the post.
See attached. Regards,
Daniela
Hi Daniela
if you are replying via email the attachment doesn't work, you have to come into the forum and post from there.

Did you get the attachment? I'll resend.
Thanks for staying with me on this Wendy.
