I need to create master slides where all the headlines are in caps. I have tried to change the headlines in the master slides to "all caps" but when using the slides the headlines are not in caps. Are there any of you who knows what to do?
I do see that this is an issue we've shared with our QA team for review - but I don't have any additional information to share. It does seem you can easily apply the "all uppercase" formatting to the text box using the button on the home tab:
I'll also include this thread in the report shared with our QA team so that I can include any updates here once they are available, but as I cannot offer a time frame please continue to utilize the workaround mentioned.
I have the same issue where I want my FEEDBACK TITLE STYLE in my FEEDBACK MASTER to be in UPPERCASE.
However, on my correct layer the text is not in uppercase.
Since I don't want to manually change this 200 (both for the correct/incorrect layer) times for my 100 questions, I can't use the design I want when using feedback master slides.
Am I correct to assume that there is no solution for that or am I missing something?
I cannot revert some of the slide layouts in my master slide to not using All Caps. While I can de-select the option, the change does not stick. Returning to the slide layout later shows that the option setting has returned.
Is there any update that corrects this problem? I see that the last time there was a response was 7 months ago. It would be nice to have this fixed.
I there Mark - it sounds like your issue is slightly different than the one reported to our QA team. Would you mind sharing your project file so I can do some testing on my end? You can use the Add Attachment button at the bottom of the reply window.
Hi there Mark, thanks for your patience! I've been looking around in your file, and I'm not able to replicate your issue.
For example, I noticed that Slide 3.2 has a title in All Caps, and this slide uses the layout 'Title with Photo Background'. When I create a new slide with that same layout, I do not see text in All Caps. Is this one of this slides you were referring to?
I could not replicate the issue either in the file that I sent. However, yesterday, my co-worker witnessed the problem with the file that we were working on.
Please refer to the attached file that presents a different flavor of the same issue. This is a stripped down version of what I sent yesterday. To test, create a new slide using the Presentation Title layout, and then another using the Two Content layout. Note that the titles for each are set to All Caps. However, the slide layouts within the Master are not set for All Caps. So where is the setting coming from?
Do you just mean that it 'looks' like it's set to All Caps? I'm not seeing All Caps when typing in the field though. I would have never thought to look as I cannot see the behavior when adding/editing the slides present.
OK. So I get that you're not seeing All Caps when typing into the field. But the Font dialog (and the Change Case tool) still show All Caps as being set. This is a programming error that should be fixed. In our case, we do want All Caps by default in the slide title. So NOT having the setting work as expected is a problem.
I now understand what you're saying. Take a look at the screenshot below. Although the title on the slide is in 'Sentence case' the 'ALL CAPS' setting is selected.
Since you do want 'ALL CAPS' as the default and it's not showing as 'ALL CAPS' on your slides, this relates to the known issue that Ashley mentioned above. We're still actively working with our QA team to determine if there is a resolution for this issue. In the mean time, the workaround is to select the 'UPPERCASE' formatting option.
Hey Matt, thanks for chiming in. It really helps us to know how many people are affected. We’re still working on this bug, and we’ll definitely let you know when we know more.
Thanks for checking in with us! I don't have an update just yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post it here in this thread. You'll be notified immediately since you're now subscribed!
I see that this issue originated with SL2, so I have updated our reports to reflect you as a Storyline 360 user and was able to provide an example in the current environment so that our team can take a look.
This conversation is attached so that we can share any applicable updates with you here.
In the meantime, you can manually adjust the formatting on your slides as Ashley demonstrated above.
Any updates? Also for Articulate Storyline 2 please! The workaround with the UPPERCASE formatting option cannot be saved in the Slide Master unfortunately. Or did this work for you?
ALL CAPS is also not functioning in the Slide Master as experienced earlier by others as well...

Hi Christophe,
I see that the issue is still with our QA team, so in the meantime you'd need to look at using the "uppercase" button as I showed above.
Hi Christophe!
Looks like Ashley is assisting you here, but I wanted to share.
Have you considered changing the text in the text label?
Hi Leslie,
That is a solution that will work for me. Thank you very much for checking up on my question!
Kind regards,
I have also discovered this problem. And more...

Thanks for clarifying Mark. Just wanted to be sure I was understanding fully. I'll add these notes to the report filed with QA as well.
I am also running into the same issue. Hoping there will be a solution to this problem soon.

Hello Alyssa. Any news on the status of the bug-fixing?
For example, will the problem be ironed-out with the next update?

Marcel
