HTML 5 version on i-Pad in Safari

May 24, 2012

I am not able to view the HTML 5 version in the browser on i-pad, do we need the Articulate Mobile Player in all conditions. Can't we run any of the version output from Storyline on i-pad without this player. Thanks!

Rupal,

If you are using an iPad and you chose the Articulate Mobile Player option when publishing, you should see a launch page that allows you to view the course in the iPad app. If you don't have the Mobile Player app installed on your iPad you should see an option to install it. More on this is outlined in the following link.

I hope this helps!

Thanks, I had gone thru this link... it says u can view HTML5 output on safari if u don't select the Articulate Mobile Player while publishing. So I am trying to see without the application, as I want it this way ...so my question was is it possible or not.

"If they're using an iPad and you didn't choose the Articulate Mobile Player option when you published, but you did choose HTML5, they'll see the HTML5 output in mobile Safari."

This is the link...for a very simple output from storyline... Yes, the launch page appears, but when we press the Play button...a blank white screen comes. Even if I have just a blank page in the course.

Hello,

I had the same issue, in order to view your content, you should disable the privacy Browsing setting of Safari on the iPad :

Settings/Safari/ Private Browsing -OFF-

hope it helps

Wow, thanks Mourad.  I read through every "iPad" (and even "Dropbox") related thread to no avail, until I typed "Mobile Safari" to get to this thread.  Maybe a moderator can sticky an iPad Best Practices thread to the forum thread list containing information like mobile Safari settings?  Do the Player Browser Settings make a difference for iPad playback?

For LMS playback, the "Block Pop-Ups" setting should also be disabled.

Thanks again.
