HTML5 Content wont display

Aug 03, 2016

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out why my course won't display in Safari on the iPad.  To make this as simple as possible, I've created a small file with just a few screens of just an image and a little text.  When I publish to use HTML5 output, but without the mobile player, the content won't display.  The player shows up, but no screen content.  I get the same result when accessing the course from SCORM Cloud on the ipad, or just selecting the story_html5.html.  Curiously, the content shows in Firefox when using the story_html5.html, but not Chrome or IE.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Wendy,

Thank you.  I don't really have a public place to post my dummy file.  It's merely a graphic screen with some text.  My guess is that I have something set wrong in the publish settings.  Aside the lovely boxes to include HTML5 and not use the player, would you have any idea what is screwing me up?

Thanks,

Brett

HI Brett,

Where did you upload it to test it on your iPad? You'll need to upload to a web server or LMS to be able to access content on the iPad - you mentioned SCORM Cloud though, and you can make a public link to that. Did you publish for LMS - if not, that could be why things are not showing up correctly if that is where you uploaded it? You may also want to take a look at this article for a few ideas and ways in which you could test the content on a web server.
