HTML5 Course Crashed On iPhone

May 08, 2015

Hi

I have created a course of 488 slide when i testing this on iPhone Safari browser, it is getting crashed.

This may be because course tries to retrieve all the contents before it uses them.

Please help me so that course can run on the iPhone properly.

Hi Ramesh,

Likely you're using the HTML5 output on your device, and that can be slow or unresponsive as described here based on the HTML5 output limitations and memory within the iPhone/Safari.

Storyline does progressively load content as described here.  So you may want to look at spacing out videos or other media heavy slides in the beginning to help with overall load time.

Thanks for sharing this Ashley.

Is there any post here where someone has modified the Storyline progressively load content to load one slide at a time and release it when user viewed it?

That may help us 'coz now re-creating this in the different authoring tool will need time again that we dont have.

So please help.

Hi Ramesh,

I haven't seen anyone who was able to override the Storyline progressive load, but I wouldn't put it past our creative community members to have done so.  It'll likely involve editing and modifying the published output, which is not something we can support and therefore should be done with caution.
