We are publishing a project to CD for distribution on USB.
There is a 15-18 second delay when the course is launched - during which time the screen is just blank (it doesn't even display a loading icon - see attached screen shot).
Is there a way to avoid the delay? If not is there a way that we can display a "Please wait ..." text or image while the module loads?
What file are you opening to launch your Storyline course? I'd look to use the Launch_story.exe file to be sure it's the best experience for your learners!
Thanks Petrina, you'll want to launch it using the launch_story.exe, so if you're launching from a menu or branched set up that's custom, I'd defer to the community on that!

What file are you opening to launch your Storyline course? I'd look to use the Launch_story.exe file to be sure it's the best experience for your learners!
We have a menu of courses published to CD which we are opening with launch_story.exe.
From within this menu the courses are called using story.html - which in turn opens story_html5.html.
If we call launch_story.exe from within the menu, the user is asked to confirm execution etc. which we do not want.
