html5 flashes hidden base object on layer
Jan 25, 2013
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if they have a solution.
I have some slides in my project that have layers that contain objects that fly in from the right when the timeline starts.
I have hidden the base layer text on the layers but when I run the html5 version on my iPad 2 using the Safari brower - the layer flashes the hidden base text when the timeline starts on the layer the first time it plays.
If I access the layer a second time, (via a clickable object on the main layer) it does not flash the hidden base text.

So is it just me?
Hi Nancy!
Sorry for the late response! So, it happens the first time it's viewed, but not if it's revisited? Are you able to share the project with us, or recreate it in a new one, so we can test this?
Thanks!
Hi Christine, that is what happens when I play it using safari on iOS6. I submitted a case # 00318396
We are having the same problem - going crazy.
Good morning,
Nancy - I apologize for the delay in response, I didn't receive a notification that your last post was modified, so I wasn't aware there was a case for this. I have taken a look this morning and I'll be following the case you submitted.
David - Sorry to hear you're running into this as well. Are you able to send us your project, so we can take a look at the file? I'll be sure to share any additional suggestions or solutions from Nancy's case as well. The more we can see on this issue, the faster we'll be able to narrow it down and hopefully get it running properly for both of you. Also, please share your case number with me, so I can keep track of it.
Thanks!
We will get you a copy of the course within a day or so. Thanks for reaching out. Do you want us to DropBox the course or how should we pass it along?
Hi David,
You'll be able to attach the course directly to the form I linked to in my earlier post. The second page of the form will allow you to attach the .STORY file, so we can test it and see what may be causing the issue.
Thanks!
