HTML5 issue on Safari

May 08, 2019

We have a HTML5 course and a user on Safari 12.1.  They are having an issue with the drag and drop interaction.

One of the drag and drop elements has not shown up at all (so they can't drag it!) and they are able to drag the item that is actually meant to be a fixed, drop state.  All very confusing.

They've disabled their adblocker, and tried refreshing the page but it doesn't make any difference.

Anyone any ideas what's going wrong?

Thanks for letting us know what's going on, Ed. I'm happy to help you out!

  • Is the affected user using mobile Safari or browser Safari?
  • Which iOS or macOS are they running?
  • Would you mind sharing the .story file (even just the drag-and-drop slide) so I can try to replicate the behavior? You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by using this upload link. I'll test it in a similar setup, and will delete it after troubleshooting.
