HTML5 issues

Sep 26, 2013

Hi,

For a client, I've put together a small sampler in Storyline to illustrate simulation-based tutorials.

http://liquidsitereview.com/elearningCollateral/simulationdemo/story.html

All of it works perfectly in Flash, but aspects of the Test Example I've made don't want to work in HTML5 on an iPad.

1. The final hotspot button that should take you to the Results Screen doesn't work.

2. If I decide to retake the test, the keyboard doesn't appear for text entry questions.

Part of what we want to demonstrate to the client is that Rapid e-learning solutions are tablet friendly, so I'd like to work out the solution to this.

Any ideas as to what might be going wrong here?

Hi Rob and welcome to Heroes!

Thanks for sharing the example here - I tested it out, and didn't see a "retry" button on the results slide - but if I went to the home button and then back into the Test, I was able to recreate the behavior for the text entry question. I'm also not sure where the hotspot button was, so I'm not able to determine if that did not work - but I was able to get to the results slide.

Are you able to share your .story file here with our Support team?

Hi Ashley,

Thank you for your time - it's much appreciated.

I've repeated the issue on a different iPad so it seems I'm stuck with the issue for the time being. I will definitely send you the .story file as soon as I can. Given our hemisphere differences it may be a little while before you receive it, but we'll persevere.
