HTML5 Not Working in LMS

Jan 14, 2021

I use S360 and we have some courses that were published in our LMS using the Flash setting. I have the source files (S360) so I republished as HTML5 and I still get the Flash player error in our LMS. I looked at the output and there were no .swf files showing when I publish the course as HTML5 only, but when I change that to HTML5/Flash fallback, now I see a list of .swf files in the the output.

Argh!! I looked at each individual .swf file and they are mostly images, but in S360 their file designation is .png so I don't know what to do to fix the problem.

Hi Lynelle,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a Flash player error in your LMS even when publishing to HTML5 only!

I've opened a case on your behalf to connect you with a support engineer. You should be receiving an email soon with an upload link for your .story file. Once we receive it, we'll get notified and begin testing to figure out why this is happening!

Hi, Lisa. Thanks for reaching out!

Referencing Lynelle's case, we found that republishing the course to the SCORM 2004 format solved the problem.

Since the fix could be LMS or file-specific, we're happy to connect with you for more tailored guidance. Our Support team is a click away right here!
