Thanks for sharing the files here. I took a look at your published output - and even in Flash I was never given the prompt to resume. So, I did a test publish of your .story file (added another slide just to be able to jump around) and loaded that up on Tempshare here. In both the Flash and HTML5 output (HTML5 specific link here) I've provided with the prompt to resume - choose yes, and the variables remain. I tested this in Chrome specifically - but if you're still having difficulty with my version please let us know.

Thank you Ashley! I've added a trigger to jump to another slide to "save" states variables before exiting in HTML5.
