HTML5 support issue with IE

Jun 20, 2018

I constructed the course in storyline 2.0 and published the same in HTML5.
while testing the course in IE 11, i face a poblem with drop-down menu.
I have the "Menu" set up in the Player as a button instead of the "Menu" filling the side of the Player. When viewed in HTML5 in IE11 when you click the "Menu" button, you get a small box with a scroll bar.

Has anyone experienced this, and do you have a solution? I need the course to run exclusively as HTML5, NOT Flash.

Hi Jatin,

Storyline 2 has limited browsers support for HTML5 and doesn't support IE11 which is why it may not be working for you. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

If HTML5 is what you need to start using exclusively you may want to look at upgrading your version of Storyline. Luckily, we've been focused on the transition to HTML5 now for some time, as a lot of organizations are moving away from Flash - so our newest versions will have you covered for the future of HTML5.

If you're interested in upgrading you've got two great options:

👉Trial Storyline 360, as well as other Articulate 360 authoring apps and resources, here!

👉Trial any perpetual Storyline version, as well as other authoring tools, here!

Additionally, here are some tips on how to make the most of your Storyline trial 🌟

If you're seeing the same issues while testing in Chrome or Safari (which are supported for Storyline 2's HTML5 output) let me know, and I would like to take a look at your file!
