I have been trying to link an object to both an internal URL - which did not work, so I then tried a simple external web address URL - to see if that at least would work.
When I add the trigger and click the green check box - the system takes me to the URL, but once the file is published, the link does not work.
Is this a common issue with an easy answer?
I was using the www.bbc.co.uk website just as a test.
Are you viewing the course locally (on your machine?). If so, the web object won't load. You'll need to load it to the web first, and then view it. I believe this has something to do with local browser security restrictions.

Hi Mike - yes I had published it to HTML and tried this file on a few different people's PCs - still couldn't get link to work.

Did you place the output out on a web server somewhere first?

Hi - we tried setting up on a web server and it works ok. Any reason why it won't work from a non-web server?

I'm not the authority in this area, but I think it has to do with modern browsers and their security restrictions.
