Two audio files. One says welcome and the other one I need to delete. So far I can insert silence or crop it but it still shows in timeline. I can edit it but not delete it.

I am having the same issue today. I'm on a MacBook Pro and the delete key doesn't work. The only way I can get rid of the audio is by replacing it under Options --> Change Audio. But I cannot delete it. And the timeline for the audio file is not locked either.
First, responding via email includes your signature here so you're welcome to edit the post to remove that information. Also, did you attempt to attach your .story file so that we could take a look at it? If so, attachments included on emails won't be posted to the forums so you'll need to visit this page to attach it. Without seeing how it's behaving it's difficult to say why you may not be able to delete it. Did you check into the locked element? Have you looked at importing it into a new file to see how a) the audio files behave there or b) if importing the entire .story file allows for resolving odd behavior? You can follow these steps to import the entire project. Another good reminder is to ensure you're following along with the project file guidelines here, as not using those steps are some known reasons of corruption.
In addition to Wendy's Mac specific suggestion, I also find that using the right click and then "cut" allows me to remove the audio file or other elements on the slide.

Hi Lorie,
What happens when you try to delete them? Are they perhaps locked on the slide timeline and therefore unable to be deleted?
If you could share a bit more about what's occurring that would be helpful so that we can help troubleshoot further.

Please let us know if you need any other help.
I was looking for the same help..and using the "cut" option after the right click on Audio absolutely worked.
Thank you!
Glad to hear this thread was helpful, Daya! That's precisely the reason why we keep these older discussions around. :)
