I am currently working on a project where I need to pull around 100 questions from 6 different scenes to make one question bank. When I try and do this it only pulls 11 to 20 of the questions. I have tried multiple times and even when I tried making each scene its own question bank it still won't pull all the questions for that one scene, usually leaves out 4 or 5 questions. I have used the question bank before and it worked flawlessly, so I know it must be user error.
That sounds frustrating, Shannon! I'm glad you reached out to us.
First, what version of Storyline are you using? You can check by going to the Help tab, then clicking About Storyline. The latest version is Storyline 360 update 3.27.18822.0.
Also, is your file stored on your local hard drive or on a network drive?

is there a limit to how many question banks you can use in one project or how many questions you can have in your question bank? i'm using 7 question banks drawing 10-20 questions per bank and using one result slide. however, when I click next slide or previous slide I get a blank slide for one or two of the questions and then it goes to tht right question and back to a blank slide after another 5 questions.
We don't have a limit for the number of question banks per project or the number of questions in a question bank.
It's hard to tell why blank slides would appear rather than the question slides in the question bank. Would you mind sharing a sample of what you're seeing?
You can either share the .story file in this discussion by using the Add Attachment button or you can use the private link to share it privately. Either way, we'll take a look and update you with our findings!
Hi Lauren, it seems the slides that were blank were corrupted... don't know what happened but i created a new slide and replicated the content (they had images) and it worked.
However, is there a limit to how many questions can be in a project before the Resume function starts bugging out? we tried resuming, not resuming, and prompting the resume function but the project always resumes at a random spot if we have 70 questions in our test.
Storyline compresses suspend data to avoid exceeding data limits imposed by some learning management systems. As a result, the suspend_data string in an LMS debug log isn't human-readable, so you won't be able to decipher it.
Are you able to publish to SCORM 2004 to alleviate the issue you're running into?
If at all possible, I'd suggest reaching out to your Learning Management System admin. They'll have detailed information on what potential error you might run into, and offer a solution.
Also, which LMS are you using? There might be community members who can offer tips and tricks!

Hi Cristian,
Thanks for letting us know that you were able to get the content working now.
As for the resume behavior, it sounds like you may be hitting suspend data limits. Are you publishing with SCORM 1.2?
Exceeding SCORM Suspend Data Limits
HI Leslie,
you're right, I am hitting the data limit. does storyline provide a tracking feature to see how many character i'm going over?
Hi Cristian,
Storyline compresses suspend data to avoid exceeding data limits imposed by some learning management systems. As a result, the
suspend_data
string in an LMS debug log isn't human-readable, so you won't be able to decipher it.Are you able to publish to SCORM 2004 to alleviate the issue you're running into?
I can, but i'm concern this may cause additional errors with our LMS.
