I'm working with Storyline 2 but I have a problem when we want to insert a video from a file. When I try to do it nothing happen and a new window opens saying that It has had an error with articulate Storyline.
make sure you are working on your local drive not from a network drive or usb and that the video you are trying to insert is also on your local drive as per this support article
