I need to hide object across project.

hello dear,

i have a small problem. i created a project with 3 slides. the objective of my project is to turn rectangle box(which also include a text box) ON/OFF on users will across project. all of the slides contains rectangle box(which includes text box to show info.). i want to disaepear the rectangle + text box until the user wishes to turn it ON. first slide also includes 2 radio buttons for TEXT ON-OFF options. how can i achieve this?  when i am clicking on text off radio button in preview, it only hides the object in current slide and appears again if i navigate on other slide.

Hi Vickey,

I see a few issues with the sample file:

  • Currently the triggers on slides 1 and 2 change the state of your textbox & rectangle to Disabled. This means the objects will continue to appear on the slide, but any interactivity you've associated with them won't work. I think what you really want is for the items to change to their Hidden state. This will cause them to be invisible.
  • On slide 2, the triggers tell Storyline to change the state of the textbox & shape when the variable called hidetext changes. But because the variable value doesn't actually change on that slide, trigger never fires. You would need to add a trigger which changes the state of the objects to Hidden when the timeline starts IF the variable called hidetext equals yes.
