I want to add a results slide after 2 wrong answers to intermittent questions

Hi Community,

I'm building a game and want to add a results slide after two wrong answers for intermittent questions (and have the user loop back to the beginning to start the game over).

So the user begins the training, gets content, a quiz question, then content, a quiz question, etc. If at any point, they have reached a total of two wrong answers, they get the results slide telling them game over and they get looped back to the beginning to start again.

Is this possible in Storyline and if so, how?

Hello Melissa,

I'll defer to the community experts as they are much better at design than I am, but my initial thought is:

  • A number variable that increments when the incorrect feedback layer is shown
  • Jump to/Submit results slide when the variable equals 2
  • Retry button on Result Slide that resets the variable and results and puts the user back to the beginning of the content
