Icons instead of text for the menu items?

Oct 30, 2014

Hello all, first I am new to Storyline so please don't judge me too harsh. I watched this tutorial from Jeanette Brooks:

My question is this: can I replace the previous/next, resources, menu, notes, glossary, texts with an icon? I know I can add my own, but it involves more programming right? My wish is just to change those items out.

Hello Ted!

You cannot add custom buttons to the player titles themselves. However you can create custom menus by using the lightbox feature.

you can also create custom Prev/Next buttons and the submit button as well in the slides themselves. You will need to turn off the built in prev/next and submit buttons in the slide properties, and when you create the custom ones, set  up the triggers to go to Prev, next slide, or to submit the interactions. you can set these up in the Master Slide, or paste them in slide to slide.
