Ideal Storyline system requirements

Jun 27, 2012

I was hoping someone could share what they have found to be the ideal system requirements for using Storyline under Windows XP (corporate platform).

Even though Articulate Studio says 256 MB and 500 megahertz (MHz) processor or higher, we still experience some performance issues (slow speed) especially with Quizmaker.  I had heard from other users in our company that ideally we should have 4 MB of RAM to avoid performance issues with Studio.

Going forward with a purchase of a couple Storyline licenses, I've been asked to get the ideal specs so we can make sure our laptops have enough power to use the tool effectively.  We have HP laptops running XP Professional 2002 with SP3, 280 ghz core 2 processor with 2.96 MB RAM.

Thanks for whatever ideal specs anyone can share who's still using XP!

Hi Robyn,

Just to clarify, you initially asked for system requirements for Storyline but then mention Quizmaker and avoiding issues with Studio. Are you looking for Studio or Storyline specs?

Here are the Storyline specs: http://www.articulate.com/products/storyline-tech-specs.php

Of course this also depends on what other memory intensive programs you are running. i.e. if you're running a 3D tool on your laptop, you're probably not going to be able to do much.
