I haven't needed it in a while but today... I wanted to find where a variable is set among a 90 slide .story file.
Somewhere along the way, the display of variable use dropped the slide numbers. While it is helpful to know the variable is used in a trigger on a layer, there's no information on which slide in a scene.
It looks like 'Game Over' is the name of your layer. The layer name + scene name is how variables on layers have always been displayed. I confirmed in Storyline 2 and rolled back to Update 23 in Storyline 360 to double-check.
If you feel like you may need to track down specific layers, perhaps including the slide number when naming will help you track it down faster.

If I open the variables panel, and click the hyperlinked Use Count, I am seeing this info I think:

Trouble is... the slide layer name is used on several slides.
Would it hurt to include the slide number along with the scene?
I've submitted a feature request on your behalf for this, Sam.
