IE Menu problem

Feb 13, 2020

Hello!

Since I've updated storyline to build 3.36.21289.0 I can't use the menu in IE 11 anymore. We use the modern player. We built a startpage without the menu button and when you jump to a chapter you can expand the menu but it's not possible to click on the entries.

It worked properly with the previous builds and it still works with Chrome and Firefox.

Thanks for helping!

Hey there, Two!

We're currently investigating a problem in Update 36 of Storyline 360, where navigating through the Menu does not work in IE if the first or previous slide has the Menu disabled. I'll share your experience in the bug's report so we can notify you of any changes.

In the meantime, let me know if enabling the Menu on the first slide can work for your design!

Hi,

we are facing the same problem with IE 11 and our customer is breathing down our necks. The menu is always visible, but on slide 1 we hid the seekbar. If the seekbar is shown on slide 1 everything works in IE 11, if it's hidden, it doesn't.

This link to review shows the version with the HIDDEN seekbar to show you the problem:  https://360.articulate.com/review/content/fc1f6ca3-3dfa-4c8e-a394-e4bc597da154/review

Good morning, Hermann!

Thank you for sharing your setup with us. I'm not seeing any problems with the Menu when viewing your published output. Check out this quick video to see how your Review 360 link works in IE11.

If you're seeing different behavior, could you create a Peek 360 recording and share it so I can see it first-hand? I want to make sure I'm on the same page to give you the best advice!

Hi everyone!

Good news, we released Update 38 (Build 3.38.21779.0) for Storyline 360 today!

I'm happy to announce that included in Update 38 (Build 3.38.21779.0) is a fix for a recent bug where toggling the Play/Pause button and scrubbing the seekbar wasn't working in Internet Explorer if your previous slide does have seekbar disabled.

We've also included a fix for another recent bug where navigating through the Menu was not working in Internet Explorer if your 1st or previous slide in your course had the Menu disabled.

Make sure to update your Articulate 360 Desktop app to take advantage of the recent bug fixes and new features!
