So I've developed a quiz in Storyline. Currently if an user fails the quiz, I have a inserted a "Retry Quiz" button in my results page that redirects them back to the beginning of the quiz. That is all good.
However, the "Next" Button still pops up in the bottom right corner and as of right now the user could in theory press the "Next" button and it would take them to the next page even though they failed the quiz.
Is there a way of removing the "Next" Button or freezing it somehow to prevent a user from continuing on if they have not passed the quiz?
Hi Julia have you added a reset quiz trigger to the retry button ? If not try that but make sure it appears before the jump to slide trigger on the button.
I added the two triggers and it's working well if the learner doesn't pass the quiz, but for some reason the "Next" button now won't appear even if they pass the quiz.
Well, I found a way around the issue by adding a "Continue" button to the Success Layer that the user can click to move onto the next slide. And then the "Next" button works moving forward.
Good workaround, Julia! I'd be happy to look at your file if you'd like some more help with this. Otherwise, it sounds like the custom Continue button will do the trick!

Hope that makes sense and helps

Hi Julia!
You can definitely disable the Next button until the learner passes the quiz. Here's how:
With those two triggers, the learner will not be able to move to the next slide unless they first pass the quiz. I hope that's helpful!
Hi Alyssa :-)

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
